Cherbourg now has its own stamp!

For the first time, a stamp bearing the image of the city of Cherbourg (Manche) will be officially available in post offices set from Monday 10 July.

The Cité de la Mer, the transatlantic maritime terminal, the blue sea, the roadstead and its forts. Symbols of Cherbourg (Manche 50) which are now on a stamp. At the request of the Cotentin Philatelic and Cartophile Circle, La Poste will officially issue this unpublished stamp on Monday, July 10, 2017. It has a face value of 73 centimes and features an engraving by Coutances artist Elsa Catelin.
